I'm honored if people can use my photos as a reference, it's really awesome to see what people can do! :heart: I've encountered some odd situations though these last couple of months, so unfortunately it seems necessary to make some specific statements.

These rules are for all my photos. I don't mind them being used as a reference for a drawing or painting, as long as: give credit by giving a link to the dA page of the picture of mine which you used, where you post your image. don't use the drawing or painting for commercial purposes, without asking me. don't change the concept of it too much: I actually don't mind in nearly all cases but I do in some (obviously 'odd' ones), ask me for permission if you're not sure about this point. don't use the picture for which you used my photo as a reference for (site, book, cd) lay-outs etcetera. Ask me for permission first if you wanted to do this.

:bulletred: Just to be sure as some people don't seem to understand: when you manipulate the original picture, by simply smudging it for example, that is NOT using a photo as a reference. That is photomanipulation. I do not give permission for that.

Ok, that should cover it I hope... If you have questions feel free to note me :boing:

Have a nice day!

are we allowed to take photos inspired by your own?
I'm doing a sketchbook for school and we had to pick 3 artists to reference from, one being a photographer
and I find your nature photographs magnificent. uvu

I obviously wouldn't be able to take images of the exact places since I can't travel and such, but your
photos would be used as references to try and get similar images/images somewhat inspired by yours
and obviously credit would be given as your name would be stated in the sketchbook numerous times ;v;

Thank you so much!I'm starting to learn how to paint on different shades of colors because of your wondrous pictures but I'll remember to give credit to the awesome artist once I'm done with them! :)

I'm in the process of teaching myself to paint environments-- it's a real treat to find such a treasure trove of reference images.  Many thanks for being so generous with your beautiful work!

I referenced one of your pictures when creating this Hobbit art piece. Can I post it on my page? Ill be sure to link your original picture. Also, I am not selling this as this was just for fun. Thanks
