Description

Taken this morning. The forest was magnificant.

When I took this photo I didn't realise the boar was there, I only noticed it when it started to run away a few seconds later making loads (and then I really mean loads) of noise.

Good luck finding it ;) If you can't, here it is: [link]

I sometimes check the critiqueable-Section on DA - and already when I saw the thumbnail of your picture I decided to do a critique on this picture. And in full view it looks even better.

The image is simply stunning due to the palette of colors you "chose" - or produced - and, most of all, due to your awesome composition.
While the two "main" sunbeams are for sure eye-catchy, the two dark trees at the left build a nice counter to that. So you offer us such a balanced image, even though there is sure a difference between the bright left and the dark right side. But what I find especially remarkable are the "layers" on which the trees seem to stand. There are the black trees right in front of you, the "yellow" ones in the middle and then, astonishingly, there are green trees further away. So, in some way, saturation is rising the further the trees are away - which causes an awesome effect - which you could call both unreal and fantastic.

Well, and, of course, the bear is a nice gimmick - but the image would also work without it

One thing I have to criticize is, that the biggest size you offer to us is 900 pixels wide - I would really have loved to see this one in a high resolution. But well, I can also understand that one does not want to share full-sized images. Maybe add some 400 pixels ...
A higher resolution would also have made it possible for me to judge the technique a little better (still I did not detect any real flaws..) ...
But well, all of that is, of course, your choice.

To put it in a nutshell - awesome, striking and damn beautiful picture.
After checking this critique once again I will fav it for sure
