I think there are some locations where it is difficult to NOT get a beautiful shot... but you've really nailed it here. Really like the shadowed background with the threat of rain (pretty common in Scotland, eh?), but as a backdrop for a wonderfully crisp shot of the castle, with just a hint of sunlight. You managed to keep most of the distracting "modern" stuff out of the frame. Like the proportions between land/sky/castle/river.
something about looking at stone structures that you know are hundreds of years old. I just got back from a month in the Czech, and seeing some of the buildings there up close and in person just does something to me.
