Post-processing: I changed the colours, upped the contrast, darkened the edges and reduced the noise.
Location: Garderen, the Netherlands.
My photos are NOT stock. This means I do not want them to be used in any way. I don't mind them being used as a reference for a drawing/painting though: please visit this link for the rules nelleke.deviantart.com/journal…
Beautiful as always your images are so beautiful and skillfully done. They truly do inspire me to write something.
Thank you for this picture, I just fav'd it! It is always tempting to catch the soft tones of fog and woods, but a pretty tricky scene to shot. You managed it, and kept the post-processing in a reasonable level that improves the picture without exaggerate over the limits of human vision's reality. This strong vignetting is a bit too much for me, but not that disturbing, doesn't break the balance of the picture. I am glad to find it! Have nice lights!
Your photos are...A-M-A-Z-I-N-G-L-Y beautiful!!!!!!!!! I'm absolutely in love to each of them!!!!!!
Beware of Slender...
I. Am in love with this picture. Haha.
Woooow.. i would to be there..
Quite a heavy atmosphere!
It's so magical!
Very mysterious; the fog/mist gives the picture an overall mystical feel to it... Very well taken! ^w^
this is great!
Your photos are so fantastical TwT It just gives me that rush and sudden urge in my fingertips to write!
Another wonderful photo
great work and tones!
Very atmospheric! Though I don't know that I'd want to travel it on my own... Still very lovely
A beautiful shot. I really love it and the treatment that you have given it, but it is in the wrong category. It is not surreal.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it In my opinion it is the right category, although making the decision was difficult. It was either this or Landscapes or Flowers, Trees and Plants, which would fit subject wise: but I think this is too heavily editted for those categories. This photo is more about the atmosphere than it is about the landscape itself. Another option was Conceptual, but I think it's more surreal than it is conceptual. No perfect solution, but you got to submit it somewhere.
Yeah, I agree. Hard to fit into a neat category, but surreal is probably closest.
interesting that there appear to be two different, but parallel paths, one of which is definitely "less traveled". The question then is, which one did you pick?
Grim, mysterious and beautiful.
