Editting done: I upped the contrast and lowered the gamma and saturation a bit.
This has a great composition and depth of field. I like the gritty and dramatic quality of it, really beautiful and eye-catching work! The trees in this picture are just amazing, the contrast between those and the logs is quite sad
Nice zijn nu weg he. Ze hebben veel gekapt dit jaar
Quite a remarkable pictures of the 'woods', life and death in one shot and even the sandy roads got mollested
This makes me really sad...
Forests are so alive and completely independant of humans and then we go and cut down trees... nessessary alot of the time but still makes me very sad. It makes the forest no longer a place of quiet and solitude, the trees and all the little micro-oganisms that lived in the soil and trees all die and then there's no place left to escape away from human influence.
Having the log pile in the foreground on the bottom left works really well with the path leading away more to the right in terms of composistion though. The only real background we see is through that path and it's quite captivating. So great photo, even if I do find the scene sad.
you are getting very original in your picture titles now
this picture make me sad... ITS BEAUTIFUL!!!!........ but so sad
I love the greens contrasted with the red-browns of the cut wood...although I always prefer trees in their living state. But unfortunately we are consumers. It's nice to know that we as a society are moving toward wood that grows faster and is easier to replace. Someday maybe we will get it all figured out. Nice shot...again!
I used to live near a place like this. It was like living in a dream; peaceful yet it could be lonely at times. It brings back good memories. Beautiful photo.
This is an awesome photo!! Well done!!
Wonderful photo! But sad to see - I prefer to see them vertical, with leaves and branches!
Hey, that's a nice change from your normal shots, logs are full of character. Good depth of field too.
Nice find , and color , but man thats a lot of work piled up there .
I love the composition in this photo.
loving this! a slightly diffrent twist to your other shots with the log piles!
Wonderful atmosphere...the irony of the stacks of cut wood amongst the towering, ancient guardians that still stand is fascinating (whether on purpose or not )...I agree with some of the other comments...I wanna continue down the road to see where it goes. Lovely! Faved!
the atmosphere is wonderful and the perspective too but at the same time it is also very sad to see cutting that much trees..
This is an amazing photograph. It grabbed me right away on the front page. The colors are wonderful; warm and rich. As the photo was loading on my screen (slowly for some reason ) I felt like I was falling into it. The angle and perspective are great. I want to continue down the road and see where it leads!
However, great capture and title!! Ilikeitalot.
Nice!
This picture is so cool! I don't know why, I love stacked wood. (That sounds perverted, somehow, doesn't it?)
Lovely. Your have such a nice way of making the most of nature's colours that it's always a pleasure to look at your photos.
looks cool but I think it needs a bit more saturation, the focus on the near logs kind of feels unnatural
