I might have added to the suspense by burning in the trees to sides of the path just to add the thought, could I run towards the light without being pounced on by something lurking in the trees? At the moment I feel I have a good chance of reaching the end of the path, say 80/20 in my favour. By darkening giving it a subtle tunnel effect (maybe also darkening the corners of the print by 20%) to draw the eye further in I think it would heighten the tension to a now scary 20/80 in my favour. Have you a portrait version of this picture? Be interesting to see if the sense of heightened trees adds to the picture. Really love this print and would be proud to display it on my wall!
