I drew this about two or three years ago, but I wasn't happy with it.. I drew several more complex versions but didn't like those either.

Yesterday I noticed how tiny my drawing-gallery is here on dA though, and just now I re-found this pic. Now my drawing-gallery will be existing out of 13 pics! Hurrah..

This is beautiful, would you be able to draw a tattoo design for me? I know you don't know me, but I've been looking for some one on dA to draw a tattoo idea for me, and I really love your drawing style, if you want compensation just let me know. Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully consider this. Also your photographs are gorgeous, very beautiful ideas, you have a great eye for amazing things.

It's very nice, but it may look better if you make it pure black. As you may observe, there are little gray lines inside the black ink/color.

Nice firebird indeed. When you would like some suggestions: I would make the end of tail smaller, making it more end in a point, which fits better with the shape of the wings. And also turn the whole tail a bit more clockwise, so that the whole uses less space. The body could use some more detail too, increasing the balance between black and white, especially with tattoo as goal. But these are just minors details of remark on an otherwise good show of a fantasy figure with no strict 'rules'.

for what it's worth, I've been looking for good phoenix flash art for a few years, now - with very little success - and I saw this and immediately thought, "pay dirt!"
I'm planning for 2 phoenix images on myself - one a phoenix fairy and maybe this lovely phoenix, if you don't mind.
