The monastry garden of Canterburry Cathedral.

This is not meant to be a good photo, I just thought that perhaps, as with my Medieval Room pic*, someone could use it as a reference for a drawing. Because I know I myself always have trouble drawing backgrounds and objects in medieval settings.. I always draw stuff that got invented ages later :P Quite annoying really.

Wrong category, I know.. but it didn't seem to fit in Landscapes either.

is this a real monastery? to me it looks more like a "castle" of a lord or duke or something (as opposed to a much bigger castle of a king)

Ik ga er vanuit dat de huizen in de achtergrond een stuk ouder zijn dan die in de voorgrond! Wel een mooie plek.. erg inspirerend ^^
