--- Post-processing: I upped the contrast, darkened the edges and reduced the noise.
My photos are NOT stock. This means I do not want them to be used in any way. I don't mind them being used as a reference for a drawing/painting though: please visit this link for the rules nelleke.deviantart.com/journal…
A wonderful shot indeed ^-^ The way you've captured it is just almost creepy but soothing in a way... To me, it's like if I was a horse back rider I would go through the woods during this time of the day and weather.
You have an eye for color composition that I love! And going by your post-processing note, you did not change the colors here~~which makes this even more remarkable! The grays and dark greens of the trees and fog look absolutely beautiful with the startling gold and red of the leaves and forest floor--and the snow [?] on the ground completes it perfectly!
Upping of the contrast always exaggerates colours, but I didn't change the colours themselves This is taken early this year when there were only a couple of leafs left that survived the winter. The snow had preserved the leaves on the ground. Because there were almost no leafs left the fog was grey (in summer, fog often has a greenish tint and in autumn yellowy, all because of the leafs). Thank you
Love the effect, especially with the green on the tree trunks. You can almost smell the musty odor.
Curious about one thing... There is white among the leaves on the forest floor. Makes me think of a dusting of snow on the ground. Since there are (almost) no leaves left on the trees, it could be just turning the corner to the fog of Winter, but I wasn't sure if that was the effect you intended.
Makes me want to stay there and watch in the 'tween time.
I quite a lot love your work, but I've noticed sometimes you overuse those dark gradients in the edges. Don't get me wrong, I like the dramatic dark edges, but at times they seem too unnatural, kinda coarse. Especially where there is more color involved. In this piece it's fine, the grey just smoothly runs darker until fades in black.
I get friend requests from people on deviantART every now and then, but today I had so much at once it surprised me. I always assume people from dA who send a friend request think it's a page for my photos, but it's just a personal page that isn't interested for other people
