Taken yesterday at twilight. The fog was non-existent an hour before... it suddenly arose slowly from a meadow embedded in the forest half an hour before and then the mist slowly started to roll into the forest. Within another half hour the whole forest was foggy. It was awesome
--- Post-processing: I made the colours a bit more cold, upped the contrast, made the corners and top dark to accentuate the fog, and I reduced the noise.
My photos are NOT stock. This means I do not want them to be used in any way. I don't mind them being used as a reference for a drawing/painting though: please visit this link for the rules nelleke.deviantart.com/journal…
(No, this is not about Slenderman. Comments that contain nothing but a reference to this dear fellow will be hidden.)
Adding a figure here adds to the mystery--and makes it look a bit like a scene from a movie! The implied motion of the figure (the "motion-smear" so to speak) heightens that impression, for me, and like most of your work leads me to try to find the story happening here.....
Love the sense of mystery here. Just who was this bench placed here for? Is it a memory? A secret rendezvous? Or perhaps it was actually the throne of a forgotten king centuries ago that broke down to the shape of a bench?
The fog and the figure really set the mood here and darkening the corners of the picture was a nice touch; an effect I myself like to use sometimes. Another great pic!
