The same place as The Sword, but different lightbalance (and picture). I wanted to wait a while before uploading this, but I suck at that.
(Again, It's been a long time since I took forest photo's, because the weather isn't working with me. Therefore I'm now at the point of pimping images I didn't like enough to upload, with more editting than I usually do.)
--- Post-processing: I upped the highlights and lowered the low lights in Faststone, which created a bit of a glow and more contrast; and I upped the 'normal' contrast, and reduced the noise.
At first glance the photograph is awe evoking, the location seems like a distant land from some other world, and subjectively looking at it it makes me want to wander off into some dreamland. But it has it's imperfections, I would start with the focus, the focus in the center where the water meets the land seems logical, but due to the fog that is impossible, and we have this blurry photo. It might have been a better idea to put the entire focus on the leaves, and adjust the angle a little to make the composition more adequate. I find it a little too much edited, and the colors too strong for my eye. I have been through your gallery many times it is unlike your best work, which have a softer side, and are more appealing, they simply rest the eye.
All in all the problem is the basic ground that you had to work with, I find it slightly dull, and a little off balance with focus and color. You work way, way better than this!
Hope you don't find my critique to harsh!
I really admire your work, and I look forward to future deviations! )
